This painting was inspired by the painting Judith Slaying Holofernes by Gentileschi. I wanted to capture the raw power of that moment, but in an abstract way that focuses more on the energy and action rather than the details. The angular forms and bold colors allowed me to convey the struggle and violence in a more visceral way, stripping away the specifics to highlight the essence of the scene. By using ink, I could create strong contrasts and fluid lines that emphasize the tension and movement within the composition.
