About this artwork
"Hidden" trys to capture the theme of concealing aspects of ourselves that we wish to keep from the scrutiny of others, and at times, even from our own acknowledgment due to feelings of embarrassment. The artwork delves into the profound notion that when we fail to accept certain facets of ourselves, we divert our energy toward concealment. This internal conflict prevents us from being true to ourselves, becoming a significant obstacle in the journey towards self-love. "Hidden" illustrates the delicate balance of this self-protective mechanism, constructing a fragile reality where opportunities for personal growth and improvement may go unnoticed. The painting encourages contemplation on the challenging but essential step of embracing our true selves, suggesting that through this acceptance, we unlock the potential for a more fulfilling and authentic life.
