Jason Zante is a Filipino-Canadian artist based in Toronto, Canada. Born in the Philippines in 1998, he received his B.DES in Graphic Design from OCAD University in 2020. With a multidisciplinary background ranging from large-scale mural installations to paintings and illustrations, his work depicts surreal, dream-like worlds filled with bold and saturated colours. He explores nature's vibrant qualities with influences from simple, everyday leisure to more complex concepts about his Filipino culture. He employs visual metaphors to personify symbols, shapes, and plants, using his imagination and personal photographs as references to create digital and acrylic works. He has created notable site-specific commissions such as a mural for The Four Seasons Hotel Toronto (2021), a 1200 square feet mural for Fallsview Casino Resorts in Niagara Falls (2022), and art billboards for Cadillac Fairview Toronto Eaton Centre (2021). Works by the artist are in prestigious and private collections, including TD Bank of Canada, Bentallgreenoak, Cboe Global Markets, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, and CIBC. His clients include Justin Bieber, The Globe & Mail, NBA Canada, Klick Health, Deciem, and the Government of Canada.
