About this artwork
This painting is from a series where I was thinking about acceptance and radical hope. If you don't sit with the darkness, you'll never let your eyes adjust to see what is there. This is where you find the things faintly shimmering and gather them up together. There is subtle variation of color and texture that accumulate to form a way through. This painting is also a reminder, we are all these pieces, how will we arrange them? We have agency to notice and shift parts. What will we do with that?

About the artist
I'm a Savannah-based multidisciplinary artist, using traditional and new media, art therapy, and neuroaesthetics to explore phenomenological knowledge. My work, created through meditative practice, invites the viewer into resonant healing and gives them reminders of love, hope, joy, resistance, and strength, to carry forward into this world.
