This is an oil painting on galllery-depth cradled panel. The sides are meticulously finished with the background colour so that the painting appears to continue around the sides. This painting is based on a photograph I took of flowers in a lush botanical garden in Barbados called the Flower Forest. The white flowers with their interconnected stems against the dark blue/green background reminds me of stars in a night sky connected together like a constellation.
