About this artwork
This piece is done altogether entirely with dots of ink. Pointillism on paper. I tried to show that Jesus Christ is a fountain of living water, surrounded by desert. The tortured souls all pass by at least once. Not everyone returns in time. Liberty, salvation, life itself is waiting at the fountain. The drawing is one of a series called The House Of Corridors, where doorways and arches lead instantly to a faraway place or time. The door that the horse occupies opens next to itself. No matter how many times you go through this door, you are where you came from and you are where you’re going. A criticism of evolutionary thinking. The artillery piece that sits abandoned, threatening nothing, guarding no one refers to a Bible verse which says the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty…..When I did this I was 23 years old. I am 57 now. It is not for sale, it was returned to me so that I could show it to you. It’s one of my very favorites. I hope you enjoy it.

About the artist
I always told stories visually. As far back as I remember, I communicated through images. Text interested me, and integrating text and images to tell stories remains a feature of my work. I went through a phase where my stories focused on the brevity of life and the judgment of God. Nowadays I tend to celebrate positivity, moments of togetherness, moments of repose. If the stories I tell resonate with you, good! I hope you enjoy them.
