The Flowers Of My Acid Tears 2024 Mixed media: Acrylic and chalkboard paint on canvas 20"x24" On view at The Artist Project, Toronto. April 11-14, 2024. Booth 925. As an intuitive painter, I'm never quite sure what will come out on the canvas. I start painting and observe as the work evolves. You know how everyone keeps talking about AI? AI can write our news. AI will drive our cars, do our laundry. That's all fine and good, but honestly, I want AI to get creative. Can AI abstractify? Can it make things less linear and more abstract? Can AI make things more interesting? That's what I was thinking about in this work. I make things abstract to make them more interesting. It not how it looks in real life, it's how it feels when I put it through my personal algorithm. I'm not a robot, and I have my own vision.
