As a painter, I explore the language of abstraction through the use of flat shapes and bold forms. My work is characterized by its large scale and the interplay of color and line. I am drawn to the challenge of creating a sense of depth and movement within the two-dimensional space of the canvas. My process begins with an intuitive response to my surroundings and a desire to translate my perceptions and emotions into visual form. Through the manipulation of color, shape, and composition, I aim to create a dynamic visual experience for the viewer. The flat shapes in my work serve as a visual representation of the fragmented, multi-layered nature of our modern world. By emphasizing the flatness of the picture plane, I draw attention to the surface of the canvas as an active element in the creation of meaning. My work invites the viewer to dialogue with the abstract forms and colors, encouraging a subjective interpretation of the painting. Through this process, I hope to challenge traditional notions of representation and inspire a sense of wonder and discovery in the viewer.
