For years I have been intrigued by the random structures found in piles containing anything from building materials to scrap metal to organic matter. This painting is based on the vines cut and piled up from vineyards. I take the liberty to organize the paintings in such a way as to capture the strange organization of randomness. The piles have a function and I find reference to our own lives in them.
