About this artwork
This painting is the last artwork that Laurent Anastay Ponsolle did through his collaboration with the contemporary dancer Lisa Langlois À fleur de peau — “skin-deep” — encapsulates Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle’s artistic ethos: to paint emotion raw and unfiltered, where flesh becomes language. The body here, half-dissolved into the medium, stretches outward and inward at once. The hot, raw colors evoke irritated skin — tingling, hypersensitive. The artist conveys both tactile and emotional vulnerability, a form of embodied exposure. It speaks of exhaustion, desire, the tension of being seen. A sensual, organic, almost feverish work.
