About this artwork
Inspired by the work of my friend, the photographer Bertrand Delous, on Thai boxing, I produced a series on mixing violence and sensuality. Self-taught, the artist has always maintained an emotional connection with his artistic practice: feelings are his favorite exploration territory. From conception, he goes where his instinct guides him. By his erratic line, the artist tracks down emotions to expose them. He explores the sensitive, the ephemeral, the fragile. By accumulation or erasure, the eye is lost and the individuals disappear: infinite, perpetual embraces, by forgetting oneself or the other, the features and the personalities fade. To express this research, a medium of evidence, the drawing. Then the painting. However, even through it, the design reappears as an indelible mark. Saturation, breathing, his regrets are apparent: he erases, erases and emphasizes his point. Prohibiting himself from the eraser, his technique is in the image of his subject: embodied, raw, and spontaneous.
