I built this piece in a different way. I painted in the shapes of color before the lines. I did not plan to leave part of the panel exposed and yet I came to a point where I could not continue. The wood standing solid in the midst of water in several forms; the tranquility of a lake, the deep darkness of a storm, the cool hug of grey mist, and the soft drizzle of rain. It stands bearing all temperatures, variations from dry to deluge. There is a persistence that I admire, a steadfast endurance, a reliability that brings comfort.
