About this artwork
"Vatnajökull II" is an oil painting that captures the essence of an abstract landscape inspired by the majestic Vatnajökull glacier in Iceland. With a geometric triangle shape, the artwork blends abstraction and expressive gestures seamlessly. The artist skillfully portrays the grandeur of the ice cap, using a harmonious palette of turquoise, ultramarine, and green. These serene hues evoke the icy expanse, while hints of dark brown suggest the gradual melting of the ice, infusing the artwork with a touch of urgency and impermanence. Through bold brushwork, the artist creates a sense of movement and dynamism, mirroring the ever-changing nature of the glacier. Executed in oil, this artwork captures the viewer's imagination, transporting them to the breathtaking landscapes of Iceland and inviting contemplation of the delicate balance between the eternal and the transient. "Vatnajökull II" has been exhibited at the artist's solo exhibitions in Serbia and Hungary. It is an oil painting on canvas. Painted sides, no frame needed, ready to hang. Signed on the front. Shipped in a box.

About the artist
I was born May 25, 1990 in Subotica, Serbia. I finished my secondary school studies of graphic design in Subotica, then I graduated from the University of Szeged (Hungary) where my major was visual representation with specialization in painting. Although my painting is highly abstracted, we can discover worlds in the details – distant mountains, rivers, lakes and oceans, another world's moons and suns. One of the pillars of my painting method is the planned, controlled randomness, the conscious placement of gestures that may seem accidental on the canvas. While building up the composition, I pursue to paint instinctively with freedom. To quiet down the chaos, to balance these bold gestures, sweeping brush strokes and paint dribblings, I use geometric shapes – this way, a sense of harmony and calmness emerge in the restless composition. I try to wake up the viewers’ minds, to attract their attention, to evoke emotions. I want to encourage them to step out of their comfort zone, to be involved, to discover; to be not just a viewer, but to be an active part of my art, to be inside of the painting, a resident of my world.
