His work is primarily distinguished by two main series: the "No Reason" series, featuring vibrant colors and spontaneous, hand-drawn gestures, and the "Interlaced Landscapes" series, consisting of abstract landscapes composed of horizontal or vertical bands. The artist works with raw materials such as cotton canvas, wood, pigments, and varnishes. His method is characterized by the use of handmade tools. Each new painting series follows a process of development akin to the scientific method, involving the creation of a specific technique. Rejecting being confined to any particular style or formalism, the artist's research encompasses both gestural and geometric abstraction. Lancelot Blondeel is interested in texture, using layering and impasto techniques to create a tactile surface effect.
