This series is based on the theme of climate grief. That grief reminds me of how much I miss Sunday afternoons at my grandmother’s house, when I was a child. I’ve been carefully observing nature, using natural dyes, and recycling materials to create a more sustainable studio practice. This work is made from a reproduction of an original walnut ink drawing digitally printed on chiffon, as well as, stained canvas, vintage lace, branches, and thread. The fabric panels hang loosely over the canvas, just stitched along the top edges and along the branches. Handle with care.
