Born and raised on the edge of the Hungarian Great Plains, between mountains and the Blonde River, never had been one day in my childhood where I hadn't confronted nature, shaken its calming hand, and admired its peculiar beauty. It was -and still is- friend and foe combined, the abundance of color then the lack of it, the bitterness of the cold, then the weariness of the heat, the tasty snow, then the calming sweet warmth. I regard myself as a violin through which nature plays its tunes, a vessel yearning to take on the journey for its expression. In my artistic practice, thus it always has - nature and all its aspects - played a crucial part, both inspiration and intention come from the landscape. The scenery moves me, calls me to a dance yet pushes me, compelling me to look deep within my heart. I feel change is often a challenge to me, the repetition comfort offers quickly goes with the change of a season. My works reveal this tendency of mine: as the temperature of the air shifts, I exist in a different way, therefore my art manifests uniquely as well. My abstract artistic expression aims to build a bridge between the feelings brought by the world, nature, and self as a collective and its manifestation, to give rise to the emotions deep within, to free oneself from the overwhelming tide. With representational works, in my heart impressionism feels closest to me, to express what cannot be revealed through the logic of realism, 'paint the way a bird sings', to quote someone great. I do not seek to be true to what I see, but rather what at the moment, I feel. The often impatient brushstrokes reflect upon the business of our world, which even in the stillest stillness of nature, we cannot seem to escape.
