This painting is about the end of a relationship. The background has Greek vibes: the Trojan war, a horse and rider. History. The foreground has Indian vibes: dancing goddesses, shaking off the past. The goddesses are Lakshmi (who represents beauty and abundance) and Saraswati (who represents creativity and the arts). The goddesses are outlined only, transparent. They are the beginnings of something new and positive.

Artist's commentary
I paint in different styles, it’s not deliberate, it just comes out that way. Sometimes the work is more Picasso-influenced and painterly. Sometimes more Matisse-influenced and fluid lines. I think this painting falls into the Matisse-influenced bracket and it has a screen printing quality. Flat areas of vibrant colour contrasted by the more detailed goddesses contours.
