About this artwork
Estimated Value: $150 - $450 "Fine light hairs down our backbones. Soft hair over our forearms. Our upper lips. Each hair is a precise fact. Hair tickling our legs. The fact of hair against skin. The hand stroking the hair, the skin. Each hair. Each cell. Our hair lying against our cheeks. The assemblage of facts in a tangle of hair. Hair rounding our vulvas. Hair curling from under our arms. Hair which surprises us. Each hair traces its existence in feeling. Which betrays our secrets. Hairs grow all over our bodies. We are covered with hair. We stroke our bodies; we remark to each other how we have always loved the softness of hair." (Woman and Nature: The Roaring Inside of Her" By Susan Griffin. 1978)

About the artist
My artistic practice has been rooted in the notion that humanity’s connection to nature is innate. The term ‘biophilia’ may be described as an inherent connection between humans and nature; one which may improve our physical, mental, emotional, and cognitive health. I have always subconsciously painted the intricate roots of my barefoot childhood, as well as the female body; that I like to imagine as Mother Nature herself. After I graduated from Art School, I found my passion in teaching art to others. My classes range from ages 4-80. My favourite class is teaching art to adults with exceptionalities. I plan on furthering my education in Art Therapy.
