About this artwork
When I first purchased this canvas I noticed that it had warped and lost it’s shape. This influenced the whole piece. The twisting and bending of the shapes found within this painting are representations of something being twisted, warped and bent out of shape. The colours were chosen to mimic those found in the “Warp speed” graphic in Star Trek The Motion Picture. Furthermore the white and black areas are representations of stars and space streaming past as the starship jumps to Warp.

About the artist
My artwork begins with a word or phrase that I use as the title, which I physically write on the canvas. The concept behind my associations with the given title is what’s most important as I choose the colour palette. My goal is to embrace the universal emotions that colours invoke and pair them with words. Communicating a common understanding of the connections between the given title and the visual elements within the artwork. My influences often revolve around current events and human nature.
