Painted using colours that I associate with the feelings I get after being told YES. Yellow and orange represent excitement, “they said yes”! Pink to represent a sense of relief or joy. Green representing something new, what might come from this confirmation? Dark purple, because there is always a hidden catch.

My artwork begins with a word or phrase that I use as the title, which I physically write on the canvas. The concept behind my associations with the given title is what’s most important as I choose the colour palette. My goal is to embrace the universal emotions that colours invoke and pair them with words. Communicating a common understanding of the connections between the given title and the visual elements within the artwork. My influences often revolve around current events and human nature.
