About this artwork
Hand printed original silkscreen on a page from a book of Civil War battles. “Toad,” #7/23 is printed over Battle of Suomussalmi, 1939-40. In 2010, I made a series of hand printed silkscreens with various public domain images over battle maps and titles the series “Study War No More.” Even though I made them as small editions, each piece is unique because of the individual background page.
