Juan-Manuel Alvarez-Ossa is s versatile artist and decorator specializing in trompe-l’oeil, faux finishes and decorative painting. Born in Colombia, he grew up in New York and has lived most of his life in Paris, France and Zürich, Switzerland. He studied at prestigious institutions such as the American University in Paris, La Sorbonne-Paris IV and the Institut Supérieur de Peinture de Paris. His expertise includes imitation of wood and marble, as well as large scale murals. He has worked worldwide, including France, the United States, Italy, Argentina and Switzerland; and his works can be found in private and public collections. He has exhibited internationally and received several awards for his photographic works and paintings, including medals from the Académie Européenne des Arts. His work is characterized by its detailed execution and artistic depth, often with a modern touch that combines traditional techniques with contemporary influences.
