About the artist
My practice focuses primarily on relationships and self-reflection. These interactions and contemplation are portrayed with ambiguity and anonymity as an expression of my search for identity and purpose. My paintings start from a place of wonderment, and while they may seem unpolished at first glance, they are a product of my innermost psyche. Some of the variables that directly affect the work during this process are glimpses of clarity, moments of struggle, and the discovery of material. At times, the result of this process includes the destruction of the painting – followed either by its death or rebirth. Once finished, I leave it to the viewer to determine what or whom they may relate to in the work.
