The artwork consists of 3 joined canvas stretchers. The middle part is only the canvas bars with the OPEN WALL behind it. A cloth covered 3 dimensional tree and a bird are attached to the frame and painted over. The left panel is a more realistic depiction of a landscape reminiscent of Chinese scroll paintings. The right panel is a somewhat abstract representation of the same landscape. The stacking and placement of the elements also suggest the scrolling action of social media postings.
