About this artwork
"Dark power" is needed by a person to provoke, protect, resist, compete where necessary, defend their positions, return their energy from those who want to take it away, producing an antidote and charisma. "Light" - to love, create beauty and produce warmth; have your own values and follow them. Darkness protects the light so that it can survive. Repression produces the opposite effect. Skewed people are crazy: to be too good means to suppress your shadow part; to live in the shadow part - to live only by instincts. Everything that is given must be used for its intended purpose, and not against it, creating an elegant balance. For collectors and art lovers looking for more than just visual pleasure, this painting offers a rich spectrum of emotions and interpretations.

About the artist

Nadiia Boichenko was born in 1993 in a small town in Ukraine. A self-taught artist, she has been passionate about drawing since early childhood and eventually turned this passion into a way of life. Her work is a subtle blend of naive humor, vintage aesthetics, and a deep affection for animals. Inspired by everyday moments, cozy atmospheres, and easily overlooked details, Nadiia creates paintings that are rich in character and emotion. Miniature animal portraits hold a special place in her art—sometimes ironic, and often infused with human-like expressions and familiar narratives. Each piece is meticulously hand-painted in acrylic or oil on canvas, carrying the charm and authenticity of true handmade art. She currently lives and works in the USA, continuing to grow creatively and share her vision with people around the world.
