About the artist
I am personally motivated by my fascination with the concept of Family, relationships, complex social structures (and the innate duality within these themes) and how I express and interpret them via my Faith in Christ and my culture. The Forms and colors I work with are my primary vehicles of expression. I treat my style as a second tier in my mode of expression, thus if the message suits Abstract Expressionism (or any style tweak that I deem necessary) then that is what I'll revert to. I am deeply fascinated by the manipulations of colour and light through space and I try to bring this into my works as often as possible. Most of my work starts with written personal introspection based on a single topic (a sort of text sketch that best articulates), either an emotion or a concept i.e Joy or Victory, Hate or Freedom. Once I have channelled my ideas as writings or musings, I illustrate it in whatever style best suits the final expression/vision. Most of my conclusions are best expressed in non representational forms, as I find myself always seeking expression of the relationships between God, emotions and the human soul.
