About this artwork
Carved cutting mat The Scale 1:1 project is based on reflections on situations related to living as a modifying process of a natural space, taking into account that habitable places are formed following repeating patterns which seek to unify situations that otherwise could become a alleged chaos. In this sense, an object recognizable by its use within architecture and design is taken as work material, the board saves cuts, which in this case becomes a reference for measurement and control with which we want to approach or inhabit a space, the way in which we unify our habitat through certain measures and scales. On each panel, an image of a sheet of the botanical expedition is carved like a linoleum engraving, making reference to the recognition of the richness in terms of natural diversity of a territory in this type of representations.
