About this artwork
Amrita Sher-Gil (1913 – 1941) was a Hungarian–Indian painter. She has been called "one of the greatest avant-garde women artists of the early 20th century". At age 28, just days before the opening of her first major solo show in Lahore, Sher-Gil tragically died. The Government of India has declared her works as National Art Treasures, and most of them are housed in the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi. She still inspires many painters with her vision and work today. https://www.wikiart.org/en/ amrita-sher-gil/all-works#!#filterName:all-paintings-chronologically,resultType:masonry

"Beauty is a form of divine presence. Art, nature, love – these are all areas where beauty manifests itself. The artist's task is to recognize and express this beauty." - Hamvas Béla - I live and work in Kaposvár,Hungary. I try to bring that certain beauty to stretched canvas with acrylics. I hope I can do it sometimes.
