This small study was inspired by the hydrangeas observed in my mother-in-law's beautiful garden. Textured layers of oil painting were delicately applied with a palette knife on a linen board.

Josée Levesque is a painter from the Basses-Laurentides region in the province of Québec. She creates sculptural oil paintings inspired by nature.
