About this artwork
This piece was created during a studio residency program at MOCA Toronto, and later selected by Artist Talk Magazine to exhibited digitally on a billboard in Times Square, NYC. This series explores the space between movement and stillness, expressed through the lively curves of the female form, juxtaposed against an abstract ground. Often in life we are faced with absolutes and opposing dualities. My intention with this piece is to create a space for the viewer to exist in the middle - a space to phase.
