BFA OCAD University 2023. Anita Lasek, is a Toronto-based artist exploring themes of grief, memory, and cultural identity in her work, predominately expressed through oil paint. Her work is heavily inspired by the psychological impacts of life after a significant loss, drawing from personal narratives of losing a parent at sixteen. Her work also reflects on her Polish identity as the child of immigrant parents.
