About this artwork
The measurements are the dimensions of the art to its edge, not the material it is on. This was a frustrating piece for me. I've been struggling trying to find my own style and approach. I felt a real attempt from myself to produce something I could be proud of. I gave up on it two times. I walked away for almost an hour. I was about to just give up there was no more material. I didn't want to spend more energy. Upon my return a lesson about time in ink art was presented to me. The art formed it's spirit and some of the internal designs appeared. I then gained all the inspiration I needed to finish it. It is sealed with acrylic clear and it's not paper per se. The material that I'm using is paper thin and will ensure this piece of art will never perish by natural causes. It is a filter medium used in manufacturing. Several layers of filter with diffrent micron sizes. The viscosity of the ink, and its temperature causes an allmost AI movement in the ink during drying. The results are obvious. This work came to life on its own. I just gave it the surface and colors to work with. It will not discolor, it will not fade, and the ink will maintain its color. This is also the artwork that has me doing time-lapse photography of the drying cycle. (Incredible). Future work will come with digital copies of these time-lapse videos. There is no duplication of this piece by me. My thumbprint and signature are present because to me it is a very important piece.

About the artist
I'm a 10-year United States Navy veteran. I was born in California. My father worked on a Hubble space telescope, and worked in electronics. So naturally I took up the same thing. After my military career I took care of family. I've always had a passion for art. I have found my way into an area of art that I have excellent results in. My creativity has been peaking because my life and situation have settled out very well. Without all the stress in my life I am able to focus, Play My guitar, have my meditation and produce my art. I do acrylic art also but I am focusing more on ink and adding some outside of the box creativity. I really do hope you enjoy viewing these. My intentions for my art is going to be high quality and all of them will be one of a kind originals. If any of them are purchased you will be purchasing the complete rights to the image itself, with only one exception the artist's name must remain as Jonathan T Carlson.
