About this artwork
"Suspended in Time" explores the paradoxical state of waiting, which is both painful and joyful. This suspended mode can be more challenging than mere unavailability, as it blinds us to everything beyond what we await, even if those things might be better. It leaves our inner peace vulnerable, making it impossible to settle for anything less than our desired outcome. While waiting may offer hope, it often pulls us back, intensifying our longing. Yet, when we finally reach what we've been waiting for, it often becomes elusive and distant. The artwork invites viewers to pause, reflect, and appreciate the fleeting beauty of the present moment.

Artist Statement "Waiting is a paradoxical state, simultaneously painful and joyful, a suspended mode that can be more challenging than mere unavailability. It blinds us to everything beyond what we await, even if those things might be better. It leaves our inner peace vulnerable, making it impossible to settle for anything less than our desired outcome. While waiting may offer hope, it often pulls us back, intensifying our longing. Yet, when we finally reach what we've been waiting for, it often becomes elusive and distant. I explore the concept of waiting through everyday experiences. By observing and depicting human emotions in my environment, I use sculptural figures to convey a sense of stillness and introspection. These figures, combined with symbolic elements, tell stories that deepen the audience's understanding of my work. I invite viewers to pause, reflect, and appreciate the fleeting beauty of the present moment.
