— In all these creative flows and works, as in artistic mediation (art therapy), I follow the thread of transformations from impulse(s)-springing(s) of physical gesture(s) and the outcomes are those of feeling that I have contacted, that I have gotten closer to what asked to be expressed, at the most authentic and fair, like an obviousness that arises, at the end of the process. An emergence that rings true and reveals, at the end. By allowing me to let go and express, painting allows me, as during meditation, yoga, dance or qi gong practices, to access and formulate spaces-times full of sensations and infinities, made of flows of memories, childhood reminiscences, emotions, feelings, being and state of being. To cross and be crossed. I approach this painting as a “letting come” to rub shoulders with the unspeakable. I seek to express the flow of feeling, of living in the moment, listening-acting-letting act and letting one's spaces-times be revealed, discovered, in an "instant-space". An embodied space-time that passes the space of an instant placed on canvas that finds its form. I especially do not want to give any explanation or meaning (title) other than the visual formulation because that would give too much space to the mind that projects and tells itself all the stories it wants. There are the stories that we tell ourselves and the story that tells itself. To let the story speak for itself through the pictorial gesture, here, to preserve the "forms of feelings" wherever they come from and what remains unspeakable as in an infinite presence, both in space and time, to just be. These are paintings to be, traces of the experiences of the processes and I seek deeper re-connections, in access to other dimensions of information, by expression-liberation of what comes as it comes…

Initially trained in applied arts and with more than 15 years of experience in video post-production, Franck Chastanier is a versatile and passionate speaker, teacher and graphic designer. He regularly works in artistic direction at the IIM, where he teaches, assesses, and supports students in the various modules of design and graphic management, communication, advertising campaigns, drawing courses, storyboards, showreels, etc. He is also a tutor for work-study students. — Franck Chastanier is also a multidisciplinary artist, visual artist, researcher who explores and combines different forms of expression, such as graphics, metalwork, installations, exhibitions and gardens. Certified by Inecat in artistic mediation, he designs and leads workshops for artistic expression and creation based on an open artistic mediation pedagogy. He likes to experience and share creative processes with joy and enthusiasm, and values exchange, creative diversity and innovation, inventiveness, imagination without limits. — 2023-2024 - Continuing the thread of research in the sketchbook in 2020 and following a change in life in 2021, he decided to devote more time to direct expression and original works (paintings, watercolors, etc.)...
