About this artwork
Graphite pencils and lead pencils. This circular totem comes after another series of circular totems made with Indian ink and gold acrylic. It is linked to my period of experimentation and training in artistic mediation, and to the approach and more particular and deep work in spaces and circular figures (circle and center), commonly called mandalas. The strength of the figure and of the circular space lies in the fact that it already generates, at base, a movement... and springing from depths, it causes a circulation, circulations generating a sort of 'reordering', transformation, interview and lived as a re-harmonization of what comes as it comes when it comes and at the best of the work of letting go that I have been able to carry out here. With the particularity of imposing constraints on myself, firstly, working from the outermost space and achieving, “going to the end. Then, do the same for the second space and finish and, finally, the same, for the most central space. Here, I did not invest the totally external space by choice. By experiencing it and following this movement of creation, hand movements spontaneously emerged, guided by something other than will or the mind, from deeper parts of myself. The work of making them emerge and escape any type of control or interpretation, during. Just to be nourished and nourished, during the experience of creation, of the flow and re-flow of impressions and expressions.
