About this artwork
I wanted to create something simple but bold—something that captured movement, energy, and life in a way that felt joyful and raw. Paw prints felt perfect—they represent presence without needing to show the whole creature. They’re a mark of something passing through, of being alive in a space. But I didn’t want to just paint typical paw prints; I wanted them to radiate, to glow with life, like footprints of energy. Using a thermal-style color palette—red at the center, cooling outward through yellow, green, and blue—I imagined the prints as emotional heat maps. Each step holds its own intensity, its own story, its own pulse. It’s almost like the prints are alive, still radiating warmth from the moment they were left behind. On the black canvas, the colors stand out like echoes in the dark, reminding me how presence lingers even after we move on.
