About this artwork

In December 2022, Meg embarked on an extraordinary journey on a delegation to Antarctica. This painting series serves as a visual testament to Meg's Antarctic odyssey, offering a glimpse into the continent's exquisite fragility and the ethereal allure of its frozen landscapes. As the home to 90% of the world's ice, Antarctica's beauty is ever-shifting, a constant dance of melting and freezing. These paintings invite you to explore the profound interplay of elegance and power that defines the majestic polar region. In this painting, the exquisite beauty of an Antarctic crevasses takes center stage, revealing a harmonious blend of serenity and strength. These crevasses bear witness to the artistry of Mother Nature's handiwork. Constantly in flux, they offer a fleeting glimpse into the ever-changing and ephemeral landscape of Antarctica. This artwork invites you to contemplate the power and fragility of the continent.
