About this artwork
The contemplation of Japanese garden early in the morning, often obscured by gridded windows- a typical feature of traditional Japanese architecture- inspired this series. This artwork continues the “Windows “ series, which began in 2014 and is exploring through various media and formats.

About the artist
"For many years, I have dedicated myself to translating a personal interpretation of nature through a body of drawings, paintings, sculptures, and photographs intended to document my explorations. Within the structures of cities, my mind and body have gradually distanced themselves from the sensation of the wind, the countless shades of green at the beginning of summer, the textures of plants, the infinite variety of patterns organized in perfect symmetry. Artists extend this sensory experience through various media and styles—realistic or abstract works, photography, video, monumental or minimalist installations. Techniques evolve, but the underlying need persists. Opting for a traditional medium, I follow the same path. My eyes memorize, my hand traces. Two ingredients: simple motifs and a palette that shifts with the seasons. In this exploration punctuated by the regular production of works, each piece refines itself to extract its profound nature. This artistic journey has been further enriched by my three decades in Japan, where I have been deeply immersed in its rich cultural traditions. The discovery, then the regular practice of tea ceremonies, has strengthened this sense of fullness within the natural element and this tireless need to express it."
