About the artist

My work bridges tradition and transformation, reflecting my Korean heritage, my identity as a newcomer to Canada, and the dynamic communities I’ve encountered. Rooted in the symbolism of Korean folk art and influenced by contemporary street art, my murals and paintings celebrate diversity, connection, and shared stories. Through mythical creatures, playful animals, and moments of everyday joy, I honor nature, community, and collective memory while reclaiming public spaces as sites of beauty and belonging. Collaboration is central to my practice, whether leading workshops, hosting mural festivals, or co-creating with fellow artists, as I aim to empower others to see their stories reflected in art. Vibrant colors, layered symbolism, and dynamic compositions connect, uplift, and inspire, celebrating the resilience and creativity of the human spirit.
