About this artwork
Scars are the lines of experience many women can't avoid, yet there's no reason they can't still be sensual and beautiful, no matter the surgeon's skill. Scars make us one of a kind, as well. Every woman I know who has survived breast cancer or who is fighting it is a robust and unique woman.

About the artist
“I pursue the following objectives: connection and transcendence. I use intuitive, experimental, statistical, scientific, and pattern-sensing systems. I tend to create natural forms. My program is color, and my style is realism. I portray human connections, understanding, and equality without violence. I am influenced by the people’s history, philosophies of justice, and art history.” My visual artworks consist of three styles: pop with outlines and flat color, recycled Styrofoam installations with lights and paint, and naturalistic oil portraits. I include portraits of people from different backgrounds representing my friends, family, and myself. I am an intuitive artist and create new forms, often based on dreams. I’m interested in humanism and environmental progress. I like subjectivity in portraits and objectivity in green technologies' illustration and science. I work with oils, acrylics, water-based enamel, canvas, recycled Styrofoam, and LED lights. I keep learning.
