Lena Christakis is a New York City based painter who grew up in Massachusetts and Vermont and graduated from Yale University in 2020 with a BA in Art. Since graduating, Christakis’s works, which Observer called “surreal minimalist jewels,” have been featured in group shows throughout New York City and internationally at Golsa Gallery in Oslo, Norway, and Badr El Jundi Gallery in Madrid, Spain. She’s also been included in two group shows this year at Smoke the Moon gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In February 2023, her show Suitcase Paintings at SPRING/BREAK Art Show, Los Angeles marked the first solo presentation of her work. Her work is currently featured in a group show at Pablo’s Birthday gallery in Tribeca and a selection of her paintings will be part of their presentation at Untitled Miami Art Fair in December.
