Emilia Durka was born in Warsaw, Poland, in 1992. She received her BS in Landscape Architecture from Warsaw University of Life Sciences, an MS in Historical Gardens and Ecosystem Services from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and a PgD in City Studies from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. She also studied fashion design at Escola d'Art i Superior de Disseny de València and received scholarships at Ohio State University and Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Recently, she served as a Studio Class Assistant to Bruce Dorfman at the Art Students League of New York in 2024, where she created the collection of ‘Landscapes of solastalgia’. Her recent exhibitions include a duo show at Gallery Space776 and many group shows in New York, Warsaw, Poland and Menorca, Spain.
