James Meyer: an Indigenous artist, who works in conceptual imagery, conceptual art uses an incongruity as a device to call attention to the subject. I use cultural layering to present different points if view. My art work uses a combination of drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture. After returning home from prison I completed my BFA and MFA in studio arts, Iam currently teaching a job skills course at the MCCA recovery center and have taught drawing classes in Maine state prisons
