About this artwork
It is a truth universally acknowledged that over time, two people will either part ways or forge an even deeper bond when they become lovers. Yet even then, many believe that desire, craving, and, yes, love will never last. These drawings speak of the universal connection between people, whether they are near or far. They speak of the shared experience of desire, craving someone's touch, and the universal longing to be loved. This drawing is done on 140lb watercolour paper. The work is signed on the front and back. It comes accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Title: Watching you when you pour a bath Size: 7 x 9.5 inches Medium: Mixed media on paper

About the artist
Stewart Fletcher’s paintings, drawings and works on paper have been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions over the past forty years. His paintings, drawings and works on paper are part of several private international collections in over 20 countries and in 36 American States. Known for his fascination with the human body, Fletcher explores various concepts beyond the representational image. The great equalizer he believes is when one's clothing is removed. All identifiers and societal statuses disappear and the real person appears. Fletcher does not believe that his work is erotic, however some people do because of their social, religious and regional upbringing. He often uses humour and satire to convey his views on the world around him..
