This painting was started in the Covid-19 Pandemic, when this public swimming pool was closed for months in which the water turned a radioactive green colour and I wanted to capture this suspension in time. The colours created an image that is reminiscent of a William Eggleston photograph.

Born in Sussex, in the south of England and raised by two artists I was always brought up looking at the world with an artistic eye. Having experimented with different disciplines including painting, lighting, architecture and 3D design I have a broad set of influences regarding the way I see light, form and colour and express this in my artwork. I look to capture moments that I recognise as idealistic or evoke memories, and aim to capture a feeling in the work. If I can achieve this and push the work in a more abstract way using texture and composition then I am over the moon.
