About the artist

Amy Tiffany Hemingway is a portrait painter and symbolist artist. She graduated with a Masters in Theology from the University of Oxford, while attending drawing classes at the Ruskin School of Art. She practiced drawing professionally for ten years in the UK and France as an Archaeological Illustrator. She lived for the following ten years in South Africa and Lesotho. She teaches Mindful Art classes to Oxford University students and staff. Her work features in private collections in the UK, New York and Paris. "Rothman and Hemingway share an exhibition room and illustrate the quality of portraiture that Wayne believes connects these artists to Modigliani. It's the stylization, the way the artist's voice combines with the sitter's likeness to create not just a portrait, but a work of art." Mary Gregory: Newsday 23 August 2023
