In my latest series of paintings, I delve into the mesmerizing world beneath the waves, capturing the intricate beauty of coral reefs and the gentle patterns of beach sand. Each piece is brought to life using a unique texture paste that I create myself, combining sawdust with acrylic mediums. This technique allows me to mimic the natural textures found in the ocean's depths, from the roughness of coral formations to the smooth, shifting sands of the shoreline. The sawdust used in my texture paste adds an organic element to the work, grounding each piece in the natural world. By integrating this material with acrylics, I am able to manipulate the texture, creating a tactile experience that invites viewers to not only see but also feel the essence of the sea. This series is a tribute to the ocean's rich and diverse ecosystems, celebrating their beauty while also hinting at their fragility. Each painting is a snapshot of a world that is both timeless and ever-changing, much like the ocean itself.
