Mary Pratt is one of my favourite artists. Particularly her fish and tinfoil paintings have always inspired me. By my nature I am compelled to create paintings to honour some of my favourite artists. I study their work, try to understand their brushstrokes and mark making, then use them as my teachers in creating my own unique paintings.
