About this artwork
Moths have always been seen as the butterflies “ugly” counterpart. When in reality moth can be just as colorful if not more so than some species of butterflies. Lunar moths are one of the most well known species as they are seen as a symbol of rebirth, new beginnings, and transformation.

About the artist
My artwork celebrates the beauty of living creatures, often shedding light on misunderstood animals and insects that deserve our appreciation. By painting these remarkable beings, I aim to inspire a new perspective, fostering a deeper connection between humans and the natural world. My artwork's background is rooted in a technique I've developed, inspired by the captivating way light bends into beautiful orbs, a phenomenon I've grown familiar with due to my astigmatism. This effect, known as the bokeh effect in photography, has sparked my creativity, and while it's not the sole focus, it naturally guides the viewer’s attention to the creatures in the foreground, unlocking new possibilities for artistic expression.
