I enjoy creating with materials that are easily accessible to me. Things I see on my walks to my parents or mediums that I have around the house( like joint compound or incense ash). I tend to create in the middle of the night like many artists before me have and like many artists after me will likely do. Often after I have created something I don’t like it. I will have enjoyed the creation process but then I will look at it and go “hmmmm what the hell is this?” But then I will hang it up in a highly visible part of my home until the habit of seeing it in my peripheral is comforting and makes me curious to take a different look. And then I smile and think “ hmmm okkk I think I like it now”.
